Hickson Road Dawes Point, NSW 2000

The redevelopment of the Walsh Bay Arts Precinct called for window and door systems that could deliver on scale, performance, and architectural vision. Working closely with the project team, Alucity Architectural Product Supply specified Darley Aluminium’s Climate Guard architectural sliding door systems to meet the unique design challenges.
The client required a sliding door system capable of exceeding conventional dimensions. The Climate Guard 50mm sliding door system delivered large dimensions of 3100mm by 2800mm, weight of 450kg, and thermally broken for energy efficiency – achieving an average U-value of 2.473.
“The Walsh Bay project demanded a solution that could accommodate oversized door panels without compromising performance. The Climate Guard architectural sliding door delivered the scale with the added benefit of excellent thermal efficiency,” said Jeff Mant from Alucity Architectural Product Supply.
“It was about delivering systems that not only worked technically but also looked right within a heritage setting. The Climate Guard framing systems achieved both.”
Through collaboration between client and supplier, the Walsh Bay Arts Precinct now showcases how Darley Aluminium’s Climate Guard systems can combine heritage sensitivity with modern performance.
